Nighttime Lane Closures On I-25 for Maintenance Work
Drivers should watch for shifting double lane closures on southbound and northbound Interstate 25 between the S. Nevada/Tejon and Cimarron/US Highway 24 exits (mile post 141) Monday, Oct. 19 through Friday, Oct. 23 (9 p.m.- 5 a.m. each night). Use caution and adhere to posted speed limit of 55 mph. These closures are required in order to repair potholes along I-25.
Truck Activity Continues Over The Next Six Weeks
Over the next several weeks motorists should expect increased nighttime truck activity from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. entering and exiting the work area along westbound US 24 at the temporary bridge. Trucks will be hauling material for embankment work.
Pay close attention when driving in and around the I-25/Cimarron Project. Due to increased truck activity entering and exiting traffic, drivers are urged to slow down, observe speed limits and avoid distractions.

 What Are The Project Goals? - Maximize overall safety, capacity and operation of the interchange and the surrounding transportation network within the Project budget;
- Complete Project construction to be fully operational before December 1, 2017;
- Minimize impacts and inconvenience to the community, motorists, businesses, downtown and the public during construction; and
- Achieve an aesthetically pleasing design compatible with current and future amenities and enhancements in and around the interchange.
