Westside residents offer their input on corridor issues during the Sept. 18 Community Open House.

"Feedback from stakeholders and the community during our first two meetings was extremely valuable and certainly reinforced what we know about the corridor and what improvements residents and business owners would like to see on West Colorado and Manitou avenues," said Andre Brackin, El Paso County's Westside Avenue Action Plan project manager. "The community values and the corridor issues identified by stakeholders and confirmed by the public have made it easier for the project team to develop alternatives for the next phase of the study."
The public meeting summary is available on the Westside Avenue Action Plan website. The summary includes comments from some participants and charts that summarize public feedback on issues such as number of travel lanes, bike lanes, traffic speeds and landscaping and aesthetics. The document also includes images of all the boards displayed during the Sept. 18 meeting.
