Engaging Young Adults
The learning community and grant phase of the Engaging Young Adults (EYA) initiative opens in May for Indiana congregations beyond the Indianapolis metro area. Information sessions about this opportunity are being held May 9 in Columbus and May 17 in Evansville. An informational on-demand video, together with the program application, are available on the website at https://centerforcongregations.org/page/engaging-young-adults-initiative.
Planning a New Ministry? Start by Listening

Another training weekend for those interested in starting a 3B Program in their church will take place at Faith Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis, June 9, 10 and 11. The 3 B Program celebrates the whole person God has created - focusing on the body, brain and belief, especially of seniors within our congregations and is a great evangelism tool for congregations to invite the community into the church family. Initially created five years ago (by Rev. Sue Babovec (TE) and Angie Briner with the endorsement of Smock Senior Ministries) over 100 Presbyterians have been trained across Indiana and the program is being celebrated in at least 25 churches. There is NO CHARGE for this training (it is underwritten by Smock Ministries) and begins at 1PM on Friday, dismissing at 2PM on Sunday. Overnight accommodations (at the Holiday Inn Express) and all meals are covered - as well as all needed materials to immediately begin this class in local congregations (2 to 3 days a week, an hour each time) with 12 to 18 weeks of lesson plans included. For more information - or to register - please call Sue at 515-490-3982. Reservations are due by May 15th.
