Sharing our Stories If you haven't seen it, I hope you'll click on the link and watch it.
If you have, you know it's worth seeing again.
Go ahead, click on the link...and then come on back here. Empathy is at the heart of many of the things we are called to in ministry. Deacons, elders, and pastors are not the only folks who are called upon to exercise empathy. Each one of us, in any age or season of life, is presented with countless opportunities to respond to another with compassion, empathy and deep regard.
In my work with you, the Presbytery of Wabash Valley, I have the tremendous honor of listening to your stories. My prayer, with every conversation, meeting or coffee office hour interaction, is to respond with empathy and hope. That's what I think it means to be your Visioning and Connecting Leader. I'm here to listen and to say, "I know what that feels like, and you're not alone." Empathy fuels connection. Empathy holds sacred space. Empathy is at the heart of what it means to be part of the body of Christ. Thank you for sharing your stories. I hope to visit with you soon.
Traveling mercies, Jennifer

PRAYERS of the PRESBYTERY

- Prayer from Rev. Nancy Becker, Honorably Retired
O Lord our God, as we come to All Saints day we give you thanks for the church; for its long history; for the generations of disciples down through the ages who have preserved the truth of the gospel and passed it down to us, so that we too might live the freedom of the new life in Christ.
We thank you for the dedication of the saints of the past; for men and women who have suffered persecution to be faithful to your call. Many of them dreamed visions larger than their times. Grant that we too who also live in difficult times, may not fear to be your faithful disciples in our generation.
We thank you for the church, and we remember especially today the rare and radiant people of its past who gave voice and life to its best hopes. May we, who follow, not forget the lessons they taught of faithfulness and dedication and trust in your provision. Amen
Please pray for.... - Mishawaka First Presbyterian Church
- Dot Smook and Rev. David Smook, PWV Moderator, as Dot undergoes radioactive treatment for thyroid cancer
- CRE Barb Wirt, South Bend Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, as she recovers from hip replacement surgery by going through physical therapy
- Traveling mercies for The Rev. Lyle Ewing, Monticello First Presbyterian Church, and family.
- The Rev. Jamie Miller, South Bend Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, as he recovers from knee replacement surgery
- The Rev. Jack Hess, Honorably Retired, as he continues to struggle with health concerns.
- Those who suffer in silence...
AMEN!

We're focusing on developing a better presbytery web presence and to helping congregations do the same, through websites, technological communication and social media training.
