A Call to Prayer and Sharing

In John 17 Jesus prays for his disciples that they may be one even as Jesus is one with the Father. As disciples, we are included in this prayer.
It is part of our polity and our creed to be one with each other as Jesus calls us to be.
In this spirit I am calling for us, as the Presbytery of Wabash Valley, to remember our connectedness with one another through prayer and conversation.
First, I am asking that each congregation connect with at least one other Presbyterian church to hold each other up in prayer.
Second, would you share with each other what is happening in your midst as God is at work in your faith lives?
And Third, Use your imagination to expand this connectedness to other congregations, both Presbyterian and in your community. How about sharing God's love with those without a church home?
Then share with the Presbytery through God Calls, what has happened in the life of your congregation as a result of prayer for one another.
God is at work in us, around us, and through us. May God's blessings keep you this and each day in the coming year.

- Priscilla Bazler, Retired CRE, died Friday, January 1. Please keep her daughter, Tara, and the Bazler family in your prayers.
