What happened before the Big Bang? Did God exist before matter?  Is God the soul of the universe? This summer service explores the blurred lines between science and religion, infinity, time, and space.

First Unitarian at Worcester Pride
Once again, with the help of the Social Justice Committee, First Unitarian is preparing to participate in Worcester Pride which is on Saturday, September 10, 2016.  There is overlap with the yard sale, but come make a day of it.  March in the Parade or staff the booth on the Commons and then go shop at the Yard Sale!  We will be organizing marchers, a cheering squad on the steps of the church and hosting a booth on the commons.  You will soon get information on how to sign up for any or all of the activities, so think about what you can do to make this a success.  There will be a need to have two "somewhat tall" people to set up and take down the canopy tent on the Commons.  Please contact Jeanine Beratta at jberatta@gmail.com if you have questions.  Also, please contact Jeanine if there is anyone out there who knows how to design a silk screen for Tshirts and would be interested in helping.

Childcare Provider Wanted
This year we are looking to hire a part-time Lead Childcare Provider to work for 2-hours on Sunday morning in our nursery. The ideal candidate will provide dependable, safe, and nurturing care to children ages 0-3 years. In addition, they will support and guide teen volunteers to assist with the caregiving. The complete job description and contact info can be found at http://faithdevelopmentforall.blogspot.com. Please help us spread the word.
Thanks!

My company is hosting an engineering intern from France from the end of August until mid-January.  I am seeking housing from host families for him.  Romain is a second year general engineering student at the ECAM Graduate School of Engineering in Lyon, France. He speaks French, English, and Spanish.  For hobbies, he is interested in Judo, swimming, economics, classic literature, science fiction, and cooking.

He will arrive in Worcester around August 19.  I particularly need housing for Romain for the first few weeks that he is here.  If you are interested in hosting him, please email me at kmandile@swissturn.com or call me at 774-239-9728. ~Ken Mandile
