"Threads We Shouldn't Let Go Of"
Worship Leader: Lee Bona
For me, committing to our Unitarian Universalist religion means covenanting to affirm and promote certain values by way of the universal truths found in every age and tradition.  Awhile ago, I decided to explore at least some of what those universal values and truths might be.  So started a dilettante's journey from animism through its evolution into the sacred feminine then pantheism, then into many hundreds of other deist and nondeist religions in Europe, Africa, India, the Middle East, Asia, North/Meso/Central America, the Pacific Islands and Australia.  Right straight through to our current choice of Unitarian Universalism.  And, what do ya know?  I did find a few threads (beyond the obvious "Golden Rule")  which can be found in the beginning of spiritual consciousness and which are still a part of our UU faith today.  Threads, I hope, we never let go of.

My company is hosting an engineering intern from France from the end of August until mid-January.  I am seeking housing from host families for him.  Romain is a second year general engineering student at the ECAM Graduate School of Engineering in Lyon, France. He speaks French, English, and Spanish.  For hobbies, he is interested in Judo, swimming, economics, classic literature, science fiction, and cooking.

He will arrive in Worcester around August 19.  I particularly need housing for Romain for the first few weeks that he is here.  If you are interested in hosting him, please email me at [email protected] or call me at 774-239-9728. ~Ken Mandile
