Community. Love. Spiritual. Acceptance. Connection. Music. These are some of the values deep in the heart of First Unitarian Church. These are values that you named in small group sessions, values and treasures of our church that came up again and again.
These words help express what a special place First Unitarian Church is. It's a place to learn and grow as adults and children. It's a place where our hearts are lifted up with music and our souls are filled with the Spirit. It's a place where we love each other and reach out to help our community. It is a place where we live out our covenant of love, spirit, unity, worship and service.
One way we put our values into practice is through a budget that supports our ministries. To nourish and sustain our community, we will support our staff and care for our historic building. To connect to our community, we will work toward giving more of our Sunday collections away to charity. To connect to our deepest values, we will continue to support our ongoing ministries of music, faith development, worship and fellowship.
To sustain and nourish this church community, we need your help. We need your generosity in your pledge for 2016. All of us together sustain the values and spirit of this church. Every gift helps support and grow our church's ministries.

Then bring your pledge card to Pledge Day on Saturday October 3. Your pledge will get you an "I Pledged"sticker which admits you to a day of fun, from a wacky photo booth to Quidditch for kids to a chili cook-off and talent show in the evening.
