Worship Arts Collaborative!
Worship Arts
Come to the inaugural meeting of the Worship Arts Collaborative! Do you have an artistic talent or yearning? Do you want to work with other members and friends of the church to bring more arts into our worship services? This is the meeting for you! Ministry, Music and Faith Development are looking for artists, musicians, actors, dancers, and more to contribute to the worship services at First U. We are looking for people who love art and want to explore arts in worship-all levels of expertise are welcome. At this first meeting, we'll explore the role of arts in our spiritual lives, and we'll look at some projects for the Chanukah/Advent/Christmas season. Tuesday, October 6 in the Chapel from 6:30 to 8:30. All ages welcome (children with a parent, please). Snacks will be provided.

Chili Dinner
Pledge Day Chili Cook-Off

The LLPC is sponsoring a Chili Cook-Off Dinner as part of the Pledge Day activities on Saturday, October 3.  Do you have a favorite chili recipe that you would like to put to the test?  If you are interested in entering your chili into the cook-off, email Ken Mandile at kmandile@swissturn.com

Each entrant will provide one crockpot of chili. From 5:30pm to 6:30pm, First U members will sample the various chili entries and vote on their favorites.  We'll have plenty of chili, corn bread, and deserts available, so bring the whole family and then stick around for the talent show.
Caring Circles
Caring Community Circle
Caring Circle Leaders are planning to add colored dots to everyone's name tags to help in identifying which Caring Circle each member is in. Stop by the Welcome Table after worship services beginning this Sunday, September 27 to get your dot.

A Thank You From Worcester Pride
Rev Stewart, please express our  extreme gratitude to everyone at First Unitarian for your participation in our annual event celebrating the LGBTQ community.

We hope everyone enjoyed the Parade and Festival. Many of those in the Parade were thrilled with the warm welcome received at your front door and we will never forget the bells chiming in celebration and acceptance.

Thank you again,
Peter Bacchiocchi
Looking for Artists to Exhibit Their Work
We are looking for are looking for artists who would like to exhibit their work in our Chapel.  This offer to exhibit is open to anyone  in the Worcester
art auction First Unitarian Church Worcester UUA
community.

Exhibits are usually left up for 8 to 10 weeks, but we are flexible.  The exhibit space is large, so we can accommodate large pieces or many small items.

The Chapel has a new gallery hanging system that makes hanging the art very easy, but the hanging system works best with framed or matted art that has a wire in the back.  Paintings, prints, photography, and even fabric art would be welcomed.

In November we will have an exhibit provided by the Seven Hills Camera Club.

If you know of an artist who might be interested, please have them contact Ken Mandile at  kmandile@swissturn.com or 774-239-9728.
