Green Exchange - End of Season Sale This Sunday
The Green Exchange was really fun-thanks everyone who participated. We made almost $500 and are hoping to get some sturdy trellises for our roses, and draught hardy plants for the front entrance pots. Since we still have a few plants left to sell, we'll have an end of season sale this Sunday!
SUMMER GARDEN CARE: We've started sign-ups for weekly garden caretakers over the summer. This just means, if you know there is a week you'll be in town, you sign up to stop by the church once or twice during your week to check things out: maybe weed a little, water with the hoses that are set up, and pick up most noticeable litter-and if you see any particular problems, you could send an email to the church staff or to the garden co-chairs, Mary McAlister ([email protected]) or Kate O'Dell ([email protected]). To sign up for this important but easy work, check with Mary in the garden this Sunday OR email either of us, and thanks.

Summer Garden Tours
Many people have asked to have these continue this year; they were so much fun the last few years, and we thank Kris Johnson still for initiating and organizing them. This year they will be 4 to 6 pm, when gardens aren't quite to wilted-should be really lovely and a nice chance for community. They'll occur any week it isn't storming. Our hosts so far include:
June 14, Nancy Riggs
June 21, Diane Mandile
July 12, Marjorie Connelly
July 19, Mary McALister
July 26, The Miricks
August 30, Kate O'Dell
So there are several open Sundays for this fun event-you don't have to have a perfect garden; it mostly about being together outside. Please email Christine Samuelson ([email protected]), Mary McAlister ([email protected]), or Kate O'Dell ([email protected]) to sign up, and hope to see you June 14th!

Last Sunday was the choir's farewell service for the spring season. We appreciate Rudy Cepko & Alesia Tringale's hospitality for the choir potluck event last week to celebrate the music season.
Thanks to all in the music program for sharing their talents and meaningful music throughout the year.

New Pipe Organ Bench Dedicated in Memory of Gordon Gurney
by Will Sherwood
We are proud to have dedicated our new organ bench in loving memory of Gordon T. Gurney last Sunday in our service.
Gordon was Soloist Emeritus and had served in our choir since he was in college at WPI.
He had a keen interest in the upkeep of the previous Casavant instrument, and helped maintain and tune it during the 1950s and 1960s.
Our new bench has a motorized hydraulic height adjustment as well as a rare flip-top seat, so that Will can conveniently stand to direct the choir while maintaining his position at the organ console.
(The original 1960s bench was unreliable and occasionally experienced a crash-scendo when the height adjustment lever failed)
