Nutrient Intravenous Infusion is a concept pioneered in the 1970s by John Myers, MD, a physician from Baltimore, Maryland. These infusions are a great means to provide essential nutrients and vitamins to patients who cannot absorb them naturally or to obtain higher concentrations than could be achieved by oral means alone. Over the past 50 years nutrient intravenous infusions have been developed to treat a variety of clinical conditions. Millions of these infusions have been used to treat patients worldwide.

Hives are raised, red, itchy patches of skin that can be frustrating to experience. Hives are commonly caused by a number of triggers, and figuring out the cause is sometimes challenging. Hives can be the result of allergies to medicines like penicillin, or to foods like nut, soy, or shellfish. They can be caused by viral, bacterial, or parasitic infections (especially in children), by physical contact with substances like plants (such as poison ivy or poison oak) or latex, and by insect bites or stings. Some people can even develop hives in response to less obvious triggers, such as exposure to temperature changes, or pressure on the skin.

Smooth and tighten skin to reduce wrinkles, scars and loose skin. Revitalize your skins appearance with Refirme Skin Tightening. This non invasive laser procedure helps to tighten existing collagen in the deeper layers of  the skin, which improves skin contours and healthier collagen. This "Mini Face Lift" has no downtime or pain and is most commonly performed on the face and neck areas.

Sublative Rejuvenation is clinically proven to treat fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars and stretch marks, textural irregularities caused by excessive sun exposure, and skin tighteningEmatrix is a Sublative Rejuvenation procedure that is FDA approved to improve the look of Fine Lines and Wrinkles, Acne Scars and Sun Damaged skin. This treatment uses a Fractional Bipolar Radio Frequency to penetrate the the skin to maximize collagen production while keeping the top layer of skin intact.  This technology allows the patient to return to regular activities sooner than other Fractional laser devices.

1) What does 'wellness' mean to you?
Wellness to me is all about proactively trying to attain balance in one's life. We should aim for balance in our eating habits, our emotional well being, our physique, our personal life, and work life.

2) How do you feel about healthcare in the U.S. and your role within the system?
I definitely feel healthcare in the United States can improve on many levels especially the transparency regarding benefits and medical billing for patients. My role in the system is helping patients to navigate and to understand the billing aspects of healthcare.

3) What health advice do you promote to your family?
I encourage my family to eat more vegetables and stay active.

4) Are there any lifestyle changes that have positively or negatively affected your health?
Some positive lifestyle changes that affected my life involved my eating habits and emotional well being.  In regards to eating, I stopped eating meat. I had some health issues. Omitting meat from my diet helped me alleviate problems I was having. I learned how to disregard negativity in my life. Negative people and negative comments can create stress and once I learned how to not let negative people or comments affect me, I felt much happier.

5) What activities do you participate in? What do you you do to help you feel healthy?
I love long walks. Instead of taking public transit, I love to walk to place and absorb in the scenery to see what has changed, what they are building or renovating, and appreciate limited plant life in the city. The long walks helps me clear my mind and helps me keep fit. I also like Zumba, so when I have time I enjoy joining classes.

6) What advice do you have for patients seeking to optimize their health?
Advice I would give patients to optimize their health is to stay proactive in managing their health. Be in control of your body and take care of your body. When you are not feeling well see the doctor. Engage in healthy habits.
