The Rittenhouse Women's Wellness Center was created to solve the three problems in Healthcare - ACCESS, QUALITY, & COST. As you know, we've expanded ACCESS - More hours at our Rittenhouse location: More providers; more Personal Healthcare Navigators to take your calls. Achieving Level 3 status as a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) is the highest QUALITY recognition and validates that the Rittenhouse Women's Wellness Center delivers exceptional primary healthcare.

This is the second time Rittenhouse has been awarded this. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, there are 230, 187 primary care practices in the U.S., of those practices, only 8,344 or 3.6% of practices are a NCQA-recognized Level 3 site. Patients receiving care from a recognized PCMH get comprehensive, well-coordinated care; ease in making appointments; and short waiting times to see a physician.

Now that summer has come to an end, it is time to think ahead and repair the damage that has been done from the season's intense heat and sun. Some of the most common concerns among clients in the early fall months are pre- mature aging and hyper pigmentation caused from over exposure to the sun. Transitioning from a summer skin care routine to a fall routine not only entails an at home regime of proper care and products, but can also include aesthetic treatments to help facilitate the repair process.

     Practice Update

You may have noticed some changes around our office - we opened new exam rooms this year, expanded hours and added two new providers so that we now have 50 more patient hours a week to care for you! We have hoped that with all of these changes, we can continue to provide the care and customer service that brought so many patients to us in the first place and we think that it has been working. Of course, we will eventually need to expand downtown in order to accommodate all of our patients in the city, but in the future we plan to bring care closer to you - areas where you live, work, and go to school, - and can pop in for a same day sick appointment when you need one!

In the midst of all that, starting October 1st, healthcare as we know it is shifting, and we will be changing the way we code. Unfortunately, although the new coding can be much better for patients, it will take a little time for us to adjust to the new system. We ask for your patience during these transitions, and hope you can give us a chance to get back on our feet by advancing technologically and in staffing in order to meet your needs. As always, we hope that our patients are able to get the consideration and care they seek from our wellness center and hope that you always be well!
