Setting Group Permissions in FaciliWorks 8i
FaciliWorks 8i allows you to set group permissions for entire forms, fields, reports and functions. For instance, you can restrict a group's access to a specific button within a FaciliWorks form, such as the History button on the Asset Entry form, which displays monetary information to which all personnel may not need to have access.

Navigate to the Personnel -> Security -> Groups Permission tab. (Accessing security features requires administrator permissions.)
In this example, we will hide the Asset form's History button from all users who are part of the general Users group.

Use the Group field drop-down list to select the group to which you'd like to apply a restriction; in this example, select Users.
Click the Form Control radio button. (All fields, radio buttons, checkboxes, buttons, drop-down lists and pop-ups lists on record entry forms are called Form Controls.)
In the Select Form field, select Assets; in the Select Control field, select History - Command Button.
In the Permissions pane, selecting Read Only - Disable would mean that the History button would still be visible to the Users group, but would not be functional. Instead, select No Access to completely hide the History button from view.
Click the Save button.
Now, when a member of the Users group logs into FaciliWorks and navigates to the Assets -> Information tab, the History button is no longer visible:
