Digital Trends for 2014
I just downloaded a report on Digital Trends for 2014. Very interesting reading. This report was conducted by Econsultancy in association with Adobe and was published in January of this year. The global survey was based on more than 2,500 marketers and Internet professionals. Trending for 2014 is customer experience, mobile and content marketing as the major players that are emerging. However, only 23% of the company respondents felt they had the marketing technology they need to succeed in this digital marketing world. On the positive side, this is a great opportunity for companies to join the digital revolution and get up to speed to have a world class brand. Host-Beneficiary Marketing: How Does it Work?
I've been interested lately in the health and wellness craze. So, I did some research on the Internet and found some interesting websites that provide some great information on weight loss, self-improvement, personal development, etc. Once I signed up for a company's eNewsletter or bought some of their videos or educational DVDs, my inbox was flooded with daily emails from the various companies. A company selling meditation lessons would promote a therapist who sells seminars on dream building. Or a medical doctor who is selling integrative medicine might promote a nutritionist. And that nutritionist might promote a company who sells protein powders. And so on, and so on, and so on. I was very intrigued by this type of marketing and realized the benefits it could have to the host company as well as to the beneficiary company. |
