Holiday Library Closure

All Library locations will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21 and remain closed on Thursday, November 22 for Thanksgiving.

Family Read Aloud Month
Throughout November, the Library and Turn the Page KC encourage families to spend at least one hour each week reading aloud to one another. Pick up a reading log at any Library location and return it to be entered into a drawing for prizes.

Session #5
This six-week series taught by representatives from Truman Medical Centers focuses on living with chronic health problems including heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and arthritis.

Alert Today, Alive Tomorrow: Living With the Atomic Bomb, 1945-65

This exhibit looks at how everyday citizens during the Cold War responded to the constant threat of nuclear war at home, at school, in their communities, and at play.

The Age of Progressive Reform: Creating Modern America

This exhibit employs letters, cartoons, pictures, and broadsides to examine America's transformation into a modern industrial society.
