Call for Entries - SCRAP Art: Creative Reuse in the Bayview

Dear Artist,
SCRAP is partnering with the Reclaimed Room at Building Resources, Public Glass, and Salvation Army on 3rd St to hold its 5th creative reuse exhibition, SCRAP Art: Creative Reuse in the Bayview. The aim of this year's exhibition is to showcase the creative reuse tradition and talents of the artists who are affiliated with the Bayview. Artists who live, work, shop, or participate in Bayview programs like Building Resources, SCRAP, Recology AIR, and Public Glass. We would like you to be a part of it.

This is an invitational juried exhibition of San Francisco bay area artists who incorporate creative reuse in their work, with special consideration given to artists who have an affiliation with the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco in some way. The exhibition is sponsored by the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and the San Francisco Arts Commission

 

Exhibition dates:  June 12 to July 26, 2014

Deadline for submissions:  Sat, April 26, 2014

Artwork selection notification:  May 2nd 

The submission fee is $10 for up to 3 artworks submitted. Each artwork submitted must use some aspect of materials found at SCRAP, Building Resources, or incorporate creative reuse, repurposing, or upcycling of materials in some way. Size limitations of the gallery spaces will be considered when judging large entries and installations.

 

Juror Awards: $100 gift certificates from SCRAP, Building Resources, and Public Glass will be awarded for top Jurors' Choice, $75 gift certificates for 2nd place, and $50 gift certificates for 3rd place.
