Amazingly Affordable Option for
Omaha Families

My Summer Place (MSP) is a June through July day camp for girls entering grades 1-9. All summer, girls enjoy fun activities, field trips, swimming and earning Girl Scout badges with girls their age in a safe, structured environment. One entire week of MSP will be spent at Camp Maha exploring nature! The cost is $425 per girl for the summer (7 weeks), or $250 per month. Register online or contact Shelby Snedeker with questions.

Looking for a fun summer job? Spirit of Nebraska is hiring! We have several summer opportunities including My Summer Place (Omaha) where you would help girls earn Girl Scout badges and take them on field trips around the city. Or work at Camp Maha (Papillion), Catron Camp and Retreat Center (Nebraska City) or Camp Crossed Arrows (Nickerson) where you will spend rewarding days with girls in the great outdoors!

Camp Out Basic 

Spring Training is coming to a camp near you! If you plan to take girls on an outdoor adventure involving starting or cooking with fire, you must take one of the six Camp Out (Basic) trainings this spring as they will not be offered again until fall 2015. Click here to learn more.

 

American Red Cross Promotion

For many activities, Girl Scouts recommends that at least one adult volunteer be First Aid/CPR certified. The American Red Cross (ARC) offers 20% off safety training classes. Learn more here.

YWECamp and YWEAchieve
Applications are online

All girls, entering grades 9-12 in fall 2015, are invited to apply to attend YWECamp and YWEAchieve this summer. There is no fee to go on these amazing leadership experiences, but girls must apply prior to April 30 to be considered.

When girls participate in the Fall Product Program, they earn recognitions and troop start up funds, and learn valuable leadership and business skills.
