BFF

Be a Friend First (BFF)

Did you know?...

-Nationally, nearly one-third of all youth ages 12 to 18 say they have been bullied at school.

(National Center for Education Statistics, 2011)

-More than 160,000 students miss school each day because they are afraid of being targeted by bullies.

(National Education Association, 2011)

-68 percent of girls  ages 14 to 17 have been cyber-bullied on a social networking site.

 (Girl Scout Research Institute, 2010)

To find out more about the BFF program, please visit Girl Scouts of the USA's BFF pages here.

If you would like to help your girls navigate these issues, our program team will customize BFF for your service unit, troop or group.  If you think this program would be beneficial in the school your girls attend, let us know and we can provide materials to your school administrators.
