I am one month into being a Tiger Den Leader and it's quite an adventure.  Last night we had two new boys show up and during the 1 hour meeting I worked in stuff for Bobcat badge along with three games and a song.  I was always that guy who loved to sing at Scout camp so we are singing a song at every meeting because why not!
Vintage Boy Scout Memorabilia Up First
I hope one of the things that readers enjoy about the Hot Finds is that I try and pick a very eclectic mix of auctions to feature every issue.  So I like to mix in some International pieces that are probably not on your eBay watch list.

I came home from the Columbus TOR with a notebook full of flaps from the 1980s-90s.  Rather than strip them out and put them up on eBay I've decided to just scan them and call them $5 each (with free shipping).  You can click the image link and see all the flaps which number a little over 100 issues.  If you see one you want to grab just send me an email and I'll pull it for you.
Scouting Auctions Ending Soon on eBay
Last weekend I purchased a 2017 planner (yes I still like to write down dates even with an iPhone) and the first thing I marked was the Jamboree.  However, next summer I have two Jamborees to attend.  I'll be at the Summit for the Girl Scout Jamboree on June 28- July 2 and then again later in June for the National Jamboree.

I've had some good success selling off a box of really old event patches that I've had for some time.  You can see some of them linked in here and if you want to catch the auctions ending soon click this link Patchblanket.com.
Last night after Scouts Patrick and I went into Harris Teeter to pick up a few grocery items wearing our uniforms.  As soon as we grabbed a cart a fellow Scouter who had recently been to an Eagle Scout ceremony started up a conversation.  Turns out he is the Asst. Scout Executive for the council.  I apologized for not having my Mecklenburg shoulder strip sewn on yet.  Looks like I need to tend to my Class A shirt before I go out in public again.  Funny thing about that is that quite a few of the other Scout dads in the pack grew up somewhere else and have their home OA flaps sewn on their shirt.  Maybe until Patrick takes his ordeal I can get away with wearing a parakeet on my shirt pocket.

Yours in Scouting,
