I spent Monday sorting out probably 3k+ shoulder strips getting them ready for eBay. I brought home a couple thousand from the Ohio TOR and I also had a Rubbermaid full in the patch cave already. Now the fun starts - anybody who has done eBay knows it would take me a month of non stop work to get all those up on the site.

Vintage Boy Scout Memorabilia Up First
I thought some of you might like this photo I snapped at the Central Ohio TOR last weekend. This shows some serious checklist collectors going through boxes of CSPs. You can just barely make out their guide books and they were carefully going through the boxes. I am going to try and use my copy of the Council Shoulder Insignia guide to sort out what I've got and where to set the minimum bid at. Sometimes it will drive you crazy trying to ID csps but I'm going to try.

Order of the Arrow Auctions Live on eBay
Wow talk about a chance to flip! The lot of Dixie Fellowship patches below is full of 1960's issues that are ripe to be broken out and listed individually. You can bet that one is one my watch list.

Scouting Auctions Ending Soon on eBay
Another snapshot from the recent TOR has my bus driver Chris Jensen. If you want a chance to go through his entire inventory then you need to make plans to attend his SC TOR held in Easley, SC on Jan 13-14, 2017. One of the other reasons to attend is a chance to bid in his famous silent auctions.

For 18 years I lived (and raised my children) in the small town of Lumberton, NC. If you have listened to the news over the last few days then you'll have heard that my town is the victim of devastating flooding. The Lumber River that gently flows through town is 4 feet above the RECORD flood stage and it will remain that high through the week. Entire parts of town are underwater after the flood swept around the levee that protected the southern side of the river bank. ( link to NPR story) We own 2 houses in Lumberton and both are on dry land. Everyone there is without power and now dealing with a historic event. Growing up I lived through Hurricane Hugo and was without electricity for a week so I feel their pain.
Yours in Scouting,
