What is a 1940s-50s felt or cut-edge activity patch worth? Its really hard to pin down those values so my strategy is to just throw them up for auction and let the market decide. Every night for the last several days I've put up 25 new auctions on those oldies. I've got them from many long ago merged councils and you can see them at this link.

Vintage Boy Scout Memorabilia Up First
I tried to buy the listings from eBay seller georgeaaronow before they went on eBay but couldn't come to a deal. Now I have most of them featured in this block as he split it up into four separate auctions that are all doing very well! Sometimes you win and sometimes you strike out in this hobby!

Order of the Arrow Auctions Live on eBay
It's been many many months since we've heard any update on the Blue Book project (are they still calling it that?). I know some good folks are working on it but the lack of progress has many collectors in despair and making up their own minds about how to document lodge issues. At some point do most active lodges just have their own PDF books put out by local collectors? That is how things have been going in North Carolina for some time if that's any reading of the tea leaves.

Scouting Auctions Ending Soon on eBay
I posed a question in the Scout Patch Collectors Facebook Group and got flooded with helpful(?) advice. My issue was I have hundreds of the Brush Creek Trading Co. PPS patch holders that have sticky labels on them. How can I remove the labels and swap out a fresh blank card to then reuse the holders? The easiest advice was to use a squirt of WD40 on a rag (which works!) but others said that was the wrong way to go.

Patchblanket.com eBay Store Santeeswapper
As an anchor store subscriber eBay gives you 1,000 "free" auctions every month. To truly take advantage of that number means averaging about 30 per day. That's an awfully hard number to keep up with but in October that's my goal! See what I've got ending tonight on eBay at live auction.

Yesterday the kids had the day off from school so we did something pretty adventurous to get out of the house. We live in a new part of the state so there are many parks we have never explored. Yesterday we went to Crowder's Mountain State Park and hiked 6 miles up and down the mountain. My daughter is ready to go back to her credit. They do have camping if you are willing to pack your gear 3/4 of a mile into a campsite. I suggested to her that we might want to try that out next time.
