The Hot Finds is loaded today with some auction picks that are getting bids and ending soon. I especially think the United States category is looking strong which is not such a big surprise as it's the busiest with over 15k live auctions.
Top Selling Auctions in the USA Category
There is a blockbuster auction pictured below. I don't know if its the fact that its from a unique unit - the 104th Infantry Timberwolves - that is driving up the bidding on the helmet and liner pictured below. There will be a lot of crossover interest on the Zippo lighter I imagine.
The lot of patches below isn't doing too much but the uniform pictured beside it is going for over $400 with 30+ bids. The seller has the matching pants but is running that in a separate auction which is always a bit frustrating for collectors.
I don't know many collectors that would appreciate the "trench art' that is up for bids in the picture below. Seems a bit extreme to have large shells mounted to book ends but hey art is in the eye of the beholder is the saying.
The auction that I'm watching in this group has to be the U.S. Tank Officer's tunic pictured below. She is a real beauty and is going to a new home today!
This coming weekend I'm going to a Boy Scout memorabilia show outside of Columbus, Ohio. I'm hoping to sell some dupes and shake up my inventory a little bit. I should try and include a military collectors show calendar in the Hot Finds. Sounds like a good project.
