Don't forget that the Easley, SC TOR sponsored by Streamwood is this weekend. I've got a 17' Uhaul truck parked in my driveway so I won't be making this one. I know Chris still has tables to give him a call if you can make it.
Vintage eBay Boy Scout Auctions This Weekend
I know a few of the readers are Facebook holdouts but let me give you one more reason to get on there. This week John Hoffman shared several pictures of his collection in the Scout Patch Collectors including state strips in multiple color issue and teens era combination ranks. That prompted other serious collectors to talk about their collections and particular pieces. It was great to be a fly on the wall.
Even if it's missing a loop I still have a lot of love and respect for that 1965 Area 6B Dixie Fellowship patch. I sold one this year in mint condition for over $300 and that one has not cracked $100 with hours to go before it finishes.
The Friday issue of the newsletter probably includes a more than usual dose of international items. It's tough to fit those items in on the other days when there is so much good BSA stuff popping on eBay. So with the shorter window for this issue I make room for those listings.
If you really want to clear out some inventory run a 66% off sale is what my grandma used to say. Well not exactly but that's what I'm doing anyways in two of my eBay categories: council activity patches and district activity patches. You can literally get patches for $2 including felt issues for $5 at those prices.
It looks like for a short week in July I'm going to take the kids to a hippie bus camping trip. A good friend of mine who is really into VW bus camping is going back to a week long campout in the North Carolina mountains and he has invited us to come along. Since I don't still have my VW bus (yes I owned a 1967 split window before kids) we will be tent camping. Sounds like fun!
