This weekend at the OA conclave I had some conversations with fellow collectors about rebooting some projects.  Specifically we talked about CarolinaOA.com a website I put together as a community platform with Hank Birdsong and Rick Horne.  In today's newsletter I want to touch on some of the projects that are still simmering even if they have been turned down to low during this year that I've been teaching.
Vintage Boy Scout Memorabilia Up First
Yesterday I posted on ScoutPatchCollectors.com for the first time in 2016.  I've decided to blog and keep track of the Jamboree issues from the various councils as an ambitious project.  I know I'd like to know what's been issued before I get up to West Virginia next summer. This site is also the home of Thread Heads a video series I did with Brad England on the hobby.

The most popular project that people keep asking me about is my podcast for the hobby called Scouting Hot Finds Radio.  I recorded over 70 episodes of this audio only program during the years that I was staying home with my son.  It seems like every week I get a new idea for an episode but they are very time consuming to put together.  Will SHF Radio come back this summer?
Scouting Auctions Ending Soon on eBay
While I have put many websites and projects on hold did you know that you can find every issue of the Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter archived at my original blog site ScoutingHotFinds.com?  Every week I go in an create a post with the link to the web page version of the newsletter.

Nick Wolf is at it again with his bargain basement sales catalogs.  This one was so good it even got me to pay attention and line up an order with the self proclaimed "king of patches".  John Pleasants and I had a funny conversation about Nick over the weekend.  John said whenever he is trying to explain this hobby to friends he shows the wild video of Nick and people start to understand what all the fuss is about.
Well the Charlotte search goes on.  We have probably looked at a dozen houses now and still nothing nailed down.  We have zeroed in on a part of town we want to be in but finding the right house is going to be a matter of watching and waiting.

Yours in Scouting,
