This is what the OA activity patch blind trade looked like just prior to the big sort.  I had more than twenty collectors take part with them sending in just shy of 1,000 patches.  There is a science to making sure that everyone gets different patches in return.  I was able to pull it off and just finished the final packages last night to head to the post office after the holiday.  My next blind trade is on camp patches!  So if you want to get a copy of the guidelines for that blind trade which is due by April 22 send me an email.

Saturday my project was stripping my office and packing away 5 years worth of accumulation.  I need to take down the shelving so it doesn't get sold with the house and we hope to stick a sign in the yard at the end of the week.  The good news was I found a $1,000 OA flap while packing that I kinda had forgotten about.

This weekend is the finale for the Wetassa 227 R1 and the other OA patches that I promoted in the PDF Catalog a few days ago.  This is an OA collection that was donated to a troop and the Scoutmaster is auctioning off the patches to raise money for the unit.  Since the R1 is over $3000 as I write this I think they are going to get some new tents!

My Girl Scout troop is starting to work on God & Country with help from a pastor at our church.  I grew up in a troop sponsored by an Air Force Base unit so it wasn't an award I earned as a youth. I noticed there are some religious medals doing well on eBay this weekend.

My big sale this weekend on eBay is OA conclave patches.  I have over 275 issues marked down 35% for the rest of the day.  So far some folks have gone in and scooped up the $5 patches but nobody has really bitten on the more expensive pieces.
By the time I finish moving patch stuff out of the house by Tuesday I'll have about 300 square feet of storage space filled with "patch crap" as my wife sometimes calls it.  We've had some interesting conversations this weekend about what I need to do when we move.  Ironically, I'm the one that is going for the teaching job - she wants me to get busy selling patches.  :)
