I was one of those that bought tickets months ago so that I could be among the first to see The Force Awakens last night. I got tickets back in October so see it in an IMAX theater in Fayetteville. It was worth every penny! If you grew up in the 80s loving those movies and toys then this one does not disappoint.
Vintage eBay Boy Scout Auctions This Weekend
Here is an update on my OA labeling project. I want to thank Dave Scocca for being my sounding board and giving me tips on how to organize historical information on the label. I reached out to Rob Higgins who has the excellent site on OA sections for help of figuring out the old twelve regions and how to group everything.
It looks like I've gotten my kitchen pass to attend the Easley, SC TOR next month but that might mean sacrificing the chance to attend my lodge winter banquet which is the same weekend. I haven't missed one in years but this might be the year.
I found out that a Girl Scout council in WV is running a special week of camp at the Summit this summer. Now what a brilliant move! The GSA doesn't have a high adventure camp (anywhere) and the BSA has one that is looking for more summer campers. I for one might be signing my troop up for the chance to take part.
As my wife and I are beginning to think about moving next summer I have started to window shop for a new house. One key word I've put in the search box is "basement" thinking that maybe I can turn that into my office space/scout cave. If anybody has pictures of their "scout cave" to share send me pics!
Today is the last day of school and like many of the kids I'm tickled pink to be out of school for the next two weeks. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season! We are expecting t-shirt weather for Christmas so thanks el-nino!
