I hope you enjoy the updated TOR calendar in this issue along with dozens of live auctions that are worth a look on eBay in the Boy Scout category.
Vintage eBay Boy Scout Auctions This Weekend
I saw a post where a collector/scouter was looking for an Air Scout uniform to include in his display for Scouting Heritage merit badge. I've been out of the loop since that badge has been introduced and never been a counselor for it. Do any of you have any tips to pass on if you have done it successfully?
There are some great neckerchiefs in this block. It is a shame that the Blue Book does not really favor neckerchiefs very much usually classifying just the patch and not the cloth material. I really like these old beauties.
I spent an hour last night trying to figure out pinstripes. No really! I have mounted my GSA proficiency badge collection in a portfolio and I'm now on the 1963-late 1970s period of time. The difference among that time is a change in cloth and I'll be durned if its so subtle a change that I can't spot it consistently.
OA is still the biggest item I've got in my eBay store when you look at the numbers. I've got over 2,000 OA items up for sale over at www.patchblanket.com where I host my eBay store.
I have updated the TOR calendar with a dozen new shows. It looks like because of the Easter Weekend there is going to be a monster TOR weekend March 18-19 with shows all over the country.
