I got an email from the lodge adviser of Santee #116 confirming that the lodge store will be open during the Pee Dee Area Council Scout Memorabilia Show. Since we were the host lodge for the 2014 Dixie Fellowship we ended up with all the leftover memorabilia including hundreds of patches, neckerchiefs etc. I hope some of you will make the drive to Florence, SC on Saturday January 3rd for the show.

Vintage Auctions Lead Off the Hot Finds
Besides going to the show this weekend I've also got other business in Florence. I'm opening my 2nd antique mall booth location Friday at the Palmetto Peddlers in Florence, SC. This is a huge antique mall with about 170 vendors. Like Todd Kelly I'm doubling down on this strategy.

Order of the Arrow Auctions Live on eBay
Because I'm a bit anal about these things I've had my carpenter build me four custom pieces to go in the booth. I'll have bookshelves, uniforms racks, and two display tables. Now I've got to stay up late every night this week getting things priced and ready to go in there.

Scouting Auctions Ending Soon on eBay
I'm going to be watching that Camp Brownlee patch like many people in my area. In case you didn't know that is a segregated Scout camp patch from Columbia, SC.

I'll have pictures of the booth to share after this weekend. It's a little bit of a trick deciding what to take to the show and what to take to the booth but that is a good problem to have!

As this is the last newsletter for 2014 I want to thank everyone for their support. Next month will mark the beginning of the 7th year of this hobby newsletter (wow time flies!). I've enjoyed using it as a platform to promote the hobby and sell a few patches. I look forward to another strong year as we get to celebrate a big anniversary in the Boy Scouts that will be a shot in the arm for the hobby.
Yours in Scouting,
