CONVERGE NORTHWEST UPDATE

Dear Ones:
     I am still collecting stories and wish to share them in our weekly communications so that our Lord's name would be made known and He would be glorified;  so, please feel free to e-mail me a paragraph or two about what God is doing in and through your church!   This week, however, I will be more focused on reminders of happenings and events coming up.   I would then encourage you to forward this e-mail to all leaders and friends of Converge NW, so that everyone is informed about all the opportunities to join in with what God is doing in our Region.

Please remember to pray for Steve and Susie  as they continue their 3-month  sabbatical of rest and refreshment; that God will use it in their lives to prepare them for effective ministry in the years ahead! 

I want to thank many of you for taking the time to connect with me and for your encouragement these last few weeks.  And, just so that you know, I will be out of the office next week for a week's vacation in the sun ~ with my Grandson!   There will be a "Temp" in the office for abbreviated hours each day next week, so if there is anything that needs immediate attention, please call the office and she will be able to reach me.

  • LEARN about Nordic-Baltic history, culture and the current status of religion and Christianity in Sweden and Estonia. Visit and experience "signs of hope" - ministries being done to deliver the Good News.
  • DEVELOP meaningful relationships with Swedes and Estonians. Serve together on special projects. Worship together. Encourage Christian leaders through visits and prayer.
  • EXPLORE.  See new sites and experience another culture. Discover the "roots" of Converge Worldwide (originally the Swedish Baptists; later the Baptist General Conference). Do you have Swedish roots? This is the time to explore the homeland!

Dear Pastors:    Spring is in the Air!  It has been a Long Winter!  We are offering two (2) Converge Northwest opportunities in April to bring REST, REFRESHMENT and REFUELING to your Home... AND to your Office! 

1.  CNW Administrative Assistant's Network Gathering ~ April 8-9:  Send your Church Admin to this 30-hour retreat for j
ust $60, which includes lodging, four (4) meals, teaching from some very special women, networking, sharing, laughter, tears and rest.  The theme this year centers around how we need refueling as caregivers and assistants to our Pastor/Bosses and congregations. We can't be running on empty! 

2. Pastor and Spouse Retreat:  Reserve your private room at Cannon Beach Christian Conference Center for this annual event!   Stuart and Jill Briscoe will be sharing from their many years of experience serving the Lord side-by-side in ministry.  Their consistent message centers around God's grace and the uncompromising truth of His Word.   Take this time to UNPLUG, to refresh, and to refuel TOGETHER!
