CONVERGE RESPONDS TO PHILIPPINES TYPHOON

You've seen the news reports of the destruction wreaked by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. More than 2 million people in 41 central provinces were affected.

All Converge missionary personnel are safe. Most were in a planning meeting in Cebu when the typhoon struck, and experienced only strong rain. Bethel International School in Tacloban was hard hit, but personnel there (Paul Varberg and Mary Olson) are safe.

Converge has ministered in the Philippines for 60 years, and partners closely with Converge Philippines (formerly Baptist Conference of the Philippines). Churches and pastors there are already delivering food, water and other vital supplies. Our co-laborers are well positioned to serve as relief centers and deliver a gospel message.

HERE'S HOW WE CAN JOIN TOGETHER TO HELP!

Converge Worldwide has set up an account for churches and individuals who would like to contribute to Typhoon Haiyan relief.  Funds are needed to provide food, water, temporary shelter and, ultimately, reconstruction. Funds will be disbursed by our Philippines missionaries in consultation with Converge Philippines president Ildefonso Alfafara.
