The SUMMIT

"We are learning that engaging in global mission is something we can do better together. We want to mobilize teams of like-minded churches to partner for greater effectiveness."

     This vision for Converge Northwest Global Missions summarized the heart and spirit of The SUMMIT held at Our Savior's Baptist Church on March 9, where over 65 enthusiastic and committed mission practitioners participated, generating a good deal of energy and momentum.

     A dynamic worship time led by the Our Savior's Baptist Church  worship team, informative messages by Ivan Veldhuizen of Converge Worldwide International Ministries, and idea-

generating presentations by High Point Church, Sylvan Way Baptist Church, Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, Our Savior's Baptist Church, Reaching Japanese for Christ, and Converge Northwest.....the SUMMIT was a successful launching point for our churches to begin connecting, cooperating and collaborating with one another and with Converge Worldwide.

     All the feedback we have received agree that the participating churches appreciated the opportunity to connect and brainstorm.  Everyone enjoyed the time to "get to work together" to turn ideas into reality so much that plans are already underway for next year's SUMMIT, which will be Saturday, March 8, 2014.
