In honor of Maine Quilts, we are offering the
Janome's National Quilt Museum model at an amazing price...
We are happy to once again be Platinum Sponsor for Maine Quilts, coming the end of July. As part of our our sponsorship, we supply brand-new Janome machines for use in the classrooms that weekend, under the supervision of Janome educators. When Maine Quilts is over, we are able to pass them onto you at extraordinary savings, with a full Janome warranty.  It's a way to support Maine Quilts by allowing class attendees machines to sew on, and in exchange you get a great discount, full warranty, and all the benefits of being a Fabric Garden sewing machine owner.  We even give each machine a tune-up to ensure they are working perfectly.

This year, our Classroom selection is Janome's National Quilt Museum 25th Anniversary Edition. Loaded with extraordinary feature that quilters adore. The perfect machine for our state's beloved quilt show, and for you to own and create with for years to come. Stop in or call us at 207-474-9628 for more information or to reserve your Janome NQM 2016 machine. Supplies are limited, first-come, first served.

Maine Quilts 2016:   July 29 - 31
Maine Quilts 2016 is coming right up!   If you've never been to this quilt show, please don't miss it.   It's chock-full of quilts on display, rows and rows of them.  Workshops, classes, special exhibits, vendors, food concessions.

The event takes place July 29-31 at the Augusta Civic Center in Augusta, Maine.

The Fabric Garden is happy to again be the Platinum Sponsor of the show, sponsoring the "Lupines On My Mind" challenge, Children's Classes, loan of machines for classes, and other donations.   Be sure to stop by our booth at the show and say "hi", and check out our ongoing machine and notion demonstrations!

Congratulations to Rhonda Jankovich,
Maine's first Row by Row Experience Winner!
We were thrilled that Rhonda Jankovich again chose our store to drop off her winning Row By Row Experience quilt, for the 3rd year in a row. This was her year, she came bright and early and was the first winner in the state of Maine.   Way to go, Rhonda!

Her quilt is beautiful, and includes rows from The Fabric Garden, Mainely Sewing, On Board Fabrics, Pinwheels Quilting, Country Creations, Alewives Fabrics, Mystic Maine Quilts, and Attic Heirlooms.

Because she completed the quilt with 8 rows, according to Row by Row Experience guidelines, she won our prize of a 25 fat quarter pack.  And since she also included our row, she received a bonus prize!

There are still so many shops who have their prizes ready for the taking!

See Row by Row Experience for more details.

Serene tones of blues and creams in beautiful prints and textures.
Done in two lines:  Cotton Batiks and and Cotton Screenprints.  Both stunning.

The inspiration for the fabrics, from the designer:

"The inspiration behind this collection is to experience something unexpected. A barn is quite often red and part of a summer theme but I happened to stumble across a blue barn in the middle of winter. I was immediately drawn to how the blues and greys contrasted against the white background of the winter snow. My "Blue Barn" collection captures this delicate winter palette - it's perfect for creating beautiful quilted memories in scraps of family fun and fabrics."    Laundry Basket Quilts
