One Million Pillowcase Challenge Update

Many of you have made and dropped off pillowcases over the past several years as part of American Patchwork & Quilting's "1 Million Pillowcase Challenge". Thank you so much for making all the wonderful pillowcases to help those in our community.

We haven't given an update in some time on the last few of waves of donations, so here is where your hard work and big hearts have helped.

Hospice of Somerset County

Department of Human Services: Skowhegan

Helping children and families in need

Togus Veterans Hospital in Augusta

Local Nursing Homes

Adoptive & Foster Families of Maine:

Pillowcases were donated (via our late sister Beth's church) to their "Ready, Set Grow to Learn" program, which provides a backpack filled with items for children in need (school supplies, clothes, pillowcases) so they can start their school year ready to learn, and knowing that someone cares. This is a wonderful program, partnered with LL Bean and many other Maine businesses.

You have made a difference in the lives of so many in our communities who needed a boost.
