Sweet Story - Today at 11 am Peter H. Reynolds will be on hand at The Blue Bunny to sign copies of "You and Me", his newest picture book collaboration with author Susan Verde, which tells the tale of two cats and how destiny intervenes to bring them together. Perfect for Valentine's Day or as a gift for any special friend!
Bag a Book - The Friends of the Dedham Library are holding a book sale today from 10-3 and on Mon. Feb. 9 from 5-8 pm. Great deals on paperbacks, hardcovers, audio books, CDs and movies. All proceeds support the Museum Pass and Children's Programs.
February Film Series - First Church of Dedham continues its special Justice Film series featuring films about issues dealing with race and poverty in America. The films will be shown at 3 pm each Sunday this month. Free and all are welcome. Refreshments will be available to purchase.

Up for the Challenge - The theme of the Dedham Square Artist Guild's Artist Challenge this month is "Neverland". Exhibition will be at the Dedham Community Theatre with an Opening Reception on Thurs. Feb. 12 from 6-8 pm. This month's challenge is a collaboration between the Guild and the Parish Players, a local multi-generational theatre company affiliated with First Church of Dedham which performs a different production every spring. They'll perform their rendition of Peter Pan March 27-29th.
Valentine's Date Night - The Dedham Community House will host a special Valentine's edition of their Saturday Night Kids Club. Drop your kids off for a fun-filled night while you enjoy a nice Valentine's evening on the town! Kids grades K-5th will enjoy crafts, sports, games, a pizza dinner and a movie. Just $20 per child.

February Vacation Fun - Keep the kids busy over the school vacation! From Tues. Feb. 17-Fri. Feb. 20 your kids can enjoy a small taste of the popular Dedham Community House Summer Camp program. They'll participate in daily activities including sports & games, arts & crafts, science, sledding and more! Program ends with a cookout or pizza party. For kids ages K-5. In the Middle - The newly revamped Middle School Nights, run by Dedham Community House and the West Roxbury YMCA in conjunction with the Dedham Youth Commission, are held one Friday night a month. This program is for 6th-8th graders and gives them an opportunity to meet and hang out with local peers while enjoying their choice of a variety of activities including game shows, basketball, crafts, foosball, karaoke, ping pong, dancing, music, photo booths and more Special events provided by the Youth Commission each night. Supervised by DCH and YMCA staff. Cost: $5. Next one will be held Fri. Feb. 27 from 6-10 pm.
Bedtime Storytime - Catching Joy will host a special PJ Storytime on Fri. Feb 27 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at The Blue Bunny. Theme: Peter Pan. Read stories about pirates, mermaids, and being happy! Kids can write, draw, and share happy thoughts, and make cards to give to others! Bring NEW and "like new" children's books to donate to Reach Out and Read. Drop off at BB during the month of February. Free and all are welcome!
