In less than 60 days it is Youth Mentoring Week, a week where we pay special tribute to the men and women who enrich the lives of our young people through mentoring. For this year's Youth Mentoring Week, our goals for Youth Mentoring Week are to:
- Raise awareness of mentoring in its various forms
- Recruit individuals to mentor, especially for those programs with youth on wait lists for mentors

Research Quarterly
|
Check out the Winter 2013 edition of the Research Quarterly. This edition looks at a new approach of matching mentors and mentees, the effectiveness of youth mentoring, and mentoring of children in foster care.

NRGize Perth
|
Registrations for NRGize Perth are now open for Western Australian mentoring programs. The NRGize Workshop will be held on 21-22 October 2013.
NRGize is a two day workshop designed to provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to run a successful youth mentoring program.
Subsidies are also available for WA programs with transport costs of greater than $400.

State of Play of Youth Mentoring Programs
| | Every two years the Australian Youth Mentoring Network conducts the State of Play of Mentoring Survey to provide a snapshot of the Australian youth mentoring sector. Leadership Series - Discounted prices for members

The AYMN's Leadership Series will place you in front of some of today leading business minds to talk about topics from developing an innovation culture within your organisation through to how to plan a strategy and how to manage the media.
Speakers include former Wallabies captain Nick Farr-Jones and Campaign Director of One Big Switch and former Director of Campaigns and Communications for CHOICE, the Australian Consumers' Association Christopher Zinn.

Sexting and Young People
| The University of Sydney's Institute of Criminology is currently asking Australian teenagers to share their views about sexting. Their online survey is seeking the real story behind sexting as young people face the risk of being prosecuted for serious offences. It asks teenagers to anonymously provide details of their social networking habits, share their perceptions of sexting and outline their own experiences.
