Message from Keith Perkin | | As Chair of the AYMN Council, I would like to wish you all an exciting and prosperous New Year. It is my great pleasure to welcome Brad Grieve who joined us on 29 January as our new Executive Officer. Brad comes to us with international experience in the not-for- profit space along with a passion for member based organisations in general and youth mentoring specifically. I am sure you will all join me in extending a warm welcome to Brad. With Brad's leadership, the AYMN will commence a new stage in its growth and development ensuring best practice in youth mentoring is shared and implemented throughout Australia. |

The AYMN would like to congratulate our former Executive Officer, Kathleen Vella and her husband Matt, on the birth of their twins - Olive and Liam. Olive and Liam were born on 2 January 2013 - babies, mum and dad are doing well. |

The National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) has published the report Peer-mentoring of students in rural and low SES schools: increasing aspirations for higher education.
