The AYMN would like to announce the resignation of David White as Chair of the AYMN Council. The AYMN would like to thank David for his contribution to the development of the AYMN. He has been the Chair of the AYMN since 2007. David will remain as part of the AYMN Council.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Keith Perkin (previously CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Australia) as the new Chair of the AYMN Council. Keith has been on the AYMN Council for the past 3 years.

WA Framework  

WA Strategic Framework 

The WA Department of Communities has released the  Western Australian Youth Mentoring Reform Strategic Framework. The framework was developed following input from approximately 300 government and community stakeholders across the state in a policy development process overseen by the Youth Mentoring Reform Group, which the AYMN was a part of. New Youth Mentoring Research  

True Blue Dreaming (TBD) have recently contracted the Telethon Institute of Child Health Research in Perth to conduct an evaluation of their mentoring programs. The evaluation will be used to review all aspects of TBD and recommend changes/modifications/additions etc to what they do.  The first stage in the evaluation has been a Literature Review. Purple Book

Mentoring Stories 

The AYMN recently had the honour to attend the book launch of The Purple Book. The Purple Book was written by a group of young mums who were originally part of the Bump Mentoring Program.  The Book is heartwarming, inspiring and surprising. Click here for more details
