The Fund Her Success Campaign continues all summer and fall even though early membership renewal incentives have stopped. Enter your Cookie Story telling us why YOU are so amazing into our Cookie Story formand be ready because YOU may be the Cookie Boss featured in this year's media campaign!

 

Girl/Adult Volunteers Needed for Open House

Help Bring Kayaking to the Girl Scout Leadership Center
Join us and help raise $30,000 to bring kayaking to the Girl Scout Leadership Center (GSLC). The GSLC will offer a spectacular waterfront location and with your support, kayaking will be available to eligible Girl Scouts when the Leadership Center opens. Funds raised will supply 20 kayaks and related equipment (racks, paddles, life vests and more). The TOP TEN overall fundraisers get to ride the Disneyland Carousel at an exclusive private event and receive 2 tickets to Disneyland! Click here for information.

 
Free Bags

To help make your troop's community serve project extra special, we have received a donation of 360 black canvas bags. Some of the troops have used the bags for kits for the homeless, military care packages, to hold birthday gifts for children in foster care or senior citizens and to hold first aid supplies. This is a first come, first serve donation and the bags are available to be picked at our Irvine Office. If your troop is interested, please send an email to Megan at mguild@girlscoutsoc.org. OCMA Free Second Sunday - Sept 14   Everyone

Orange County Museum of Art Free Second Sunday features a free arts celebration for families, including hands-on projects, live entertainment, and gallery tours.  Kick off the fall season with a visit to OCMA's new exhibition, The Avant Garde Collection.  Engage in art-making activities and join the frenzy with Girl Scouts of Orange County Folklorico dancers. 

 

Cadette-O-Rama Red Hat Positions Available- Oct 10-12    Senior Ambassador

We have many positions available for "Red Hats" (9th-12th graders) to staff Cadette-O-Rama. Staff positions are open to individual girls. You may apply alone or with friends from your troop. Your leader or parent is not required to apply or attend for your participation, and adults who apply as Cadette-O-Rama staff will only be accepted if space is available. Responsibilities will include working at the Friday & Saturday Night activities, judging the skill and fun events on Saturday, and working as a team with other Red Hats and staff members to make the event run smoothly. Public Lands Day- September 27, 2014  Everyone

AECOM is providing Girl Scouts with an on-site environmental learning experience (and free lunch!) as a part of the It's Your Planet-Love It! National Leadership Journey Series! Girls will learn about water conservation from AECOM environmental scientists and will plant drought resistant and native plants.

Great opportunity to brainstorm Take Action Projects as well as work on the Naturalist Badges! More information  

 

Pumpkin Patch Palooza Daisy Brownie Junior Cadette

Register early & kick off your Girl Scout fall season at Irvine Park Railroad Station. Bring your camera and join the family fun for great photo ops during the hay ride, hay maze and haunted house. Service opportunity also available supporting OC Animal Care! More information

Don't forget that you can use your cookie dough to pay for camp. Come up and experience camp as a troop during a weekend camp or for your own adventure during a weekend camp with you and your parent.

Camp Scherman is the perfect place to have fun and strengthen the bond with the special girl in your life. Together you can enjoy a variety of fun and interactive activities.  Cost: $135 per person. Register now!

 

Create Your Weekend Camp-  Oct 24-26  Everyone
Whether you are new to camp, or you are a weekend camp warrior, unplug from your busy life and recharge at Camp Scherman. Hang out on the lake or at the museum. You get to create your schedule of activities, be as busy or relaxed as you like. This is your weekend- choose your own adventure and have a weekend to remember!  Cost: $104 per person. All weekend camps must have proper girl: adult ratios.  Register Now!  

 

Boo Bash Weekend Camp- OCt 24-26   Everyone

Calling all camp and Halloween enthusiasts! Join us for a fun filled Halloween themed weekend. Trick or treat your way through the program areas. Canoe on the lake, aim for the pumpkin at archery and raise the roof at our dance party. Costumes welcome.  Cost: $135 per person. All weekend camps must have proper girl: adult ratios.
