ANNOUNCEMENTS

Thanks for Attending the August Kickoff!

We had a great event with more than 450 volunteers and members attending exciting workshops, networking with their peers and getting ideas for the new Girl Scout year. Check out these event photos!  We'll share workshop presentations and handouts in an upcoming Weekly Update. If you didn't get a chance to evaluate the event, please take a moment to complete the online event survey. Thanks for all you do as a volunteer and for participating in the best ever August Kick Off. We wish you the best as you begin another year of Girl Scouting!

Help Bring Kayaking to the Girl Scout Leadership Center
Join us and help raise $30,000 to bring kayaking to the Girl Scout Leadership Center (GSLC). The GSLC will offer a spectacular waterfront location and with your support, kayaking will be available to eligible Girl Scouts when the Leadership Center opens. Funds raised will supply 20 kayaks and related equipment (racks, paddles, life vests and more). The TOP TEN overall fundraisers get to ride the Disneyland Carousel at an exclusive private event and receive 2 tickets to Disneyland! Click here for information.

2015 Cookie Proceeds and FAQ

At the August Kickoff, we shared info about the upcoming cookie price increase and troop proceeds. Check out our FAQ's for details. More information will be shared your upcoming Service Unit meetings and even more details at cookie trainings in December.

Complete New TAA form Today!

The new online Troop ACH Authorization (TAA) form is now active. Every troop must complete a new form annually, even if the troop has completed the form previously or is not participating in Fall Product or Cookie programs. This procedure change is part of the updated Troop Financial Guidelines.  Troops also complete a new TAA form whenever there is a change to the troop's banking information, including a change in signers. The online TAA form requires troops to upload a copy of a voided check to complete the form.

GSOC is participating in a special pilot of Trios Girl Scout cookies, a chocolate chip gluten free peanut butter oatmeal cookie.  Troops interested in participating in our pilot must order cookies by Sunday, Sept. 21.
