Fund Her Success 

Your gift to Girl Scouts of Orange County is vital to supporting girls in our community. The Fund Her Success Campaign continues all summer and fall even though early membership renewal incentives have stopped. All families who give a gift of $40 or more will receive a commemorative Fund Her Success Campaign patch. Fund her Success today!

 

Calling All Girl Scout Alumnae!
If you're a Girl Scout Alumna, join us for an opportunity to participate in the collection of ideas on the direction of the new Alumnae Initiative. Applied Medical Corporate Tour   Everyone

Take a field trip tour to Applied Medical, a leading provider of breakthrough technologies for a wide range of surgical specialties.  As part of GSOC's Corporate Tour Program, girls will learn more about this OC business that supports GSOC, tour the facilities, learn about products and what they are used for, and meet Applied team members, part of one of the fastest growing and most progressive organizations in the healthcare field.  Various tour times are available.  

 

Pearson Park Amphitheatre: Summer Nights Under the Stars  Everyone

Summer season is underway, and for families and friends that includes Family Shows and Concert Series. This year's line-up offers fun entertainment that every Scout will enjoy! Come out & Enjoy!

 

Community Service Opportunity: Good Turn for Good Will   Everyone

Looking for a great way to make a difference in your community this summer? Check out Good Turn for GoodWill for an opportunity to earn a patch while addressing needs in your community.

 

MEdia Journey Series - Aug 12-15   Cadette

Cadettes look for the ME in media and learn how they can shape media-for themselves, their community and the world.  Registration deadline has been extended to July 31.

 Pumpkin Patch Palooza - Oct 5  Daisy Brownie Junior Cadette

Register early & kick off your Girl Scout fall season at Irvine Park Railroad Station. Bring your camera and join the family fun for great photo ops during the Hay Ride, Hay Maze and Haunted House. Service opportunity also available supporting OC Animal Care! 

 

Cadette-O-Rama - Oct 10-12   Cadette

Get ready to act out your favorite movie, or dress up as your favorite actress.  Whether you're a fan of the classic tinsel town or the glittery Hollywood era you won't want to miss this annual outdoor skills weekend camping event for Girl Scout Cadettes.

Cadette-O-Rama Lookie Loos - Oct 11   Junior

Girl Scout Juniors are invited to see this spectacular event first-hand and enjoy skills and fun events set up just for you. You will also see Girl Scout Cadettes as they participate in this yearly "Cadette Only!" event.. After the event, you'll have time to visit the campsites and see how the Cadettes put this creative theme to use.   

 

 Save the Date! Scouting for Food - Nov 8   Everyone

Join in as Girl Scouts of Orange County and Orange County Boy Scouts of America collaborate in this annual all ages food collection service project serving Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. Learn more about how Scouts unite to feed the hungry @ Scouts Unite.

  Camp Scherman

Don't forget that you can use your cookie dough to pay for camp. Come up and experience camp as a troop during a weekend camp or for your own adventure during a weekend camp with you and your parent. 
 

Is your camper going up to camp? We are looking for a few good (adult) chaperones to ride the bus up and back with the campers. Volunteer chaperones will receive an exclusive Camp Scherman shirt and enjoy lunch at camp.

2014 WEEKEND CAMPS

Weekend Camps will be offered now through the summer!  Sign up as a troop or as a parent-child pair.  Registration is now open for Weekend Camps through Dec 2014!  Click here for a complete listing and more information on all weekend camps.

 

Leader(Mom)/Daughter Weekend - Aug 1-3 Everyone

Leave your troop in the city for one-one-one fun with your daughter in the beautiful outdoors. Enjoy a weekend with your favorite Girl Scout. We do the cooking and planning so you don't have to. Canoe on the lake, take aim in archery, take a dip in the pool and much more. $135 per person.  Register Now!

 

Family Camp - Aug 29- Sept 1   Everyone

Enjoy a unique and relaxing weekend camp experience with family and friends. Explore wide-open spaces and enjoy staff-planned nature and camp activities for all ages, including hiking, crafts, games, gardens, campfires, archery, and canoeing. Provide your own tent, RV or camper, or stay in one of our mountain cabins. Sign up for our weekend meal plan that includes seven meals, or bring a propane stove to prepare your own meals. No charge for children 4 and under! Register Now!

Cabin Cost: $57 per person 

RV/Tent Camping Cost: $47 per person 

 

Create Your Weekend Camp-  Oct 3-5    Everyone
Whether you are new to camp, or you are a weekend camp warrior, unplug from your busy life and recharge at Camp Scherman. Hang out on the lake or at the museum. You get to create your schedule of activities, be as busy or relaxed as you like. 2014 SUMMER RESIDENT CAMPS

Did you know that if your camper is signed up for a specialty camp, she will still have every opportunity to participate in the same traditional camp activities at camp? Those activities include swimming in the pool, canoeing, archery, lots of singing, arts and crafts and so much more.

Girl Scouts are traveling all over the world this summer!  Girl Scout Ambassador Troop 36 "Xanadu" visited Our Chalet in Switzerland, Pax Lodge in London, Wales, Belgium and Paris on their graduation trip after 4 years of planning!  Journey 2014 Travel Troop also visited Pax Lodge and Our Chalet.
