West Days at the Autry - Summer

Join the Autry in L.A. this summer for Wednesday West Days and travel back in time panning for gold and experiencing what life was like in the old west. This would be a great place to go if working on the Playing the Past badge for juniors!

Polynesian Dance Performance - June 29

La Mirada Performing Arts Theater presents Alohi's Polynesian Review with a special price for Girl Scouts for the show and a luau patch! Pre-purchase tickets $10 by June 27, $15 at the door. Emergency Preparedness Event: Zombie Apocalypse - Nov 8-9

Girl Scouts, friends, family, and the public are invited to this fun and educational event designed to help girls learn ways to be prepared in a real emergency. Participants are encouraged to bring a bag of canned food to donate to Second Harvest food Bank. Click here for Flyer and Registration Form. Register by August 1 to receive a patch and survival kit.

Don't forget that you can use your cookie dough to pay for camp. Come up and experience camp as a troop during a weekend camp or for your own adventure during a weekend camp with you and your parent.

Camp Nights- parents, volunteers and girls are invited to join us to meet camp staff, ask questions, and get more information about Camp Scherman. Camp Nights will be from 7:00-8:30 PM. To register for a Camp Night and get directions, please email ejohnson@girlscoutsoc.org

June 24 Yorba Linda Program Center

Open House

Pack a lunch and bring the family up to camp for Camp Scherman Open House on June 22. Go on a camp tour, meet the staff, and sing a few songs while you walk around the property. Leader Daughter Weekend - Aug 1-3 Leave your troop in the city for one-one-one fun with your daughter in the beautiful outdoors. Enjoy a weekend with your favorite Girl Scout. We do the cooking and planning so you don't have to. Canoe on the lake, take aim in archery, take a dip in the pool and much more. $135 per person. Register Now!

Family Camp - Aug 29- Sept 1

Enjoy a unique and relaxing weekend camp experience with family and friends. Explore wide-open spaces and enjoy staff-planned nature and camp activities for all ages, including hiking, crafts, games, gardens, campfires, archery, and canoeing. Provide your own tent, RV or camper, or stay in one of our mountain cabins. Sign up for our weekend meal plan that includes seven meals, or bring a propane stove to prepare your own meals. No charge for children 4 and under! Register Now!

Picture This - July 28-Aug 1, Aug 11-15 For girls entering grades 4-6

As you trek around camp, you will be inspired to take the perfect photographs of breathtaking landscapes, nature and your new camp friends. Upload your photos and learn to use editing software to create frame-worthy photos for your wall. Girls must provide their own digital camera. Register Now!

Girls and Guitars- Aug 11-15
For girls entering grades 6-10
Can you play riffs or strum in the key of G? Learn to play guitar to accompany popular camp songs. Join your fellow musicians for camp activities when you aren't strumming. If you have a guitar, please bring it, but it is not required. Register Now!

Daisy Essentials . . . . Just added!

Excited about becoming a Daisy Leader? After you've been background screened and received an email from Volunteer Resources at GSOC, It's not too early to start your training to be prepared for the Fall. Take Volunteer Essentials on the second Tuesday of any month and the upcoming Daisy Essentials on June 14th, 10:30am -1:00pm at Anaheim Program Center.
