Wilderness Hiking - High Adventure Group - June 29  Cadette Senior Ambassador Volunteer

Girls and volunteers! Spend your morning in the classroom and your afternoon on the trail for a beginner hike. Learn about safety, proper gear and equipment, and the Leave No Trace ethic. This class lays a strong foundation for more extraordinary adventures, such as backpacking.

aMUSE Journey Series - July 8-11   Junior

Girl Scout Juniors will earn the Reach Out, Speak Out & Try Out awards as they gain  understanding of  the  many roles women and girls play and the leadership skills used to play them.

 

Mission Sisterhood Journey Series - July 14-18  Senior

When it comes to sisterhood, what girls start can spiral outward and change the world. Through Mission Sisterhood! girls see  the stories of sisterhood all around them and grow as leaders by widening their networks and broadening their world.

 

White Water Rafting- High Adventure Group - July 17-20   Cadette Senior Ambassador

Suit up for an adventure down the American River and explore a cavern with the High Adventure Group! Please review flyer for all of the details and to register.

 

Breathe Journey Series for Cadettes - Aug 5-8   Cadette

Cadettes will earn the Aware and start on the Alert, and Affirm awards as they explore the air  around them using their  five senses  while participating in activities involving aromatherapy,  cooking,  science, art  & more.

Camp Nights- parents, volunteers and girls are invited to join us to meet camp staff, ask questions, and get more information about Camp Scherman. Camp Nights will be from 7:00-8:30 PM. To register for a Camp Night and get directions, please email ejohnson@girlscoutsoc.org

2014 Weekend Camps

Weekend Camps will be offered through the summer!  Sign up as a troop or as a parent-child pair.  Registration is now open for Weekend Camps through Dec 7, 2014!  Click here for a complete listing and more information on all weekend camps.

Horse Option Now Available!

Who wants to saddle up and take a trail ride at camp? We have now added a horse option to the program offerings for the summer weekend camps only. For an additional fee participants can go on a trail ride. Space is limited for this program offering.

Ranch House Cabins - July 11- 13, July 18-20, July 25-27, $135 per person

Upper Camp July 11- 13, July 18-20, July 25-27, Aug 1-3, $104 per person  

Whether you are new to camp, or you are a weekend camp warriors unplug from your busy life and recharge at Camp Scherman. Hang out on the lake or at the museum. You get to create your schedule of activities, be as busy or relaxed as you like. This is your weekend- choose your own adventure and have a weekend to remember!  Register now!

 

Leader Daughter Weekend- Aug 1-3 Everyone
Leave your troop in the city for one-one-one fun with your daughter in the beautiful outdoors. Enjoy a weekend with your favorite Girl Scout. We do the cooking and planning so you don't have to. Canoe on the lake, take aim in archery, take a dip in the pool and much more.   Register now!

 

Family Camp - Aug 29- Sept 1   Everyone

Enjoy a unique and relaxing weekend camp experience with family and friends taking in all of the beauty of camp and its surroundings.
