Tomorrow is Leader's Day!
Leader's Day is a time to honor all the volunteers who work as leaders and mentors in partnership with girls. From our staff to all of our amazing leaders, thank you!

Last Call for Tenure!    How many years have you been a Girl Scout: 25, 30, 35 . . . . 75, 80, 85? The years you have given to Girl Scouting, as a child and/or adult, are significant and we'd love to recognize you at our Annual Recognition Event, "Girl Scouts Celebrate our Headliners," on June 1 at the Anaheim Hilton. The Girl Scout Way Video Contest Countdown

Less than a month to go and we're hoping to debut your 2-minute video on one (or all!) of the 5 skills learned from participating in product sales. Win the grand prize and be featured on GSOC Product Sales marketing materials and enjoy a tour of the post-production studio Post Factory . . . . GAM - May 16-18   Senior Ambassador

Registration closes April 27th! This competitive boating, swimming and nautical event at Newport Dunes that is a long-standing GSOC tradition, whether you come to showcase your skills or to test the waters, fun is guaranteed!

 

Destinations Scoop Nights - May 29   Cadette Senior Ambassador

Learn about travel opportunities as an individual Girl Scout Cadette, Senior, or Ambassador!  Join us at one of these info nights for Girl Scouts and their parents/ guardians for a scoop of ice cream and get the "scoop" on Girl Scout destinations!

  

Girl Scout Night at Angels Stadium - June 7   Everyone

This annual event is a great way to bring the whole family out to the ballgame while proudly supporting the Girl Scouts of Orange County. Tickets must be ordered through Angels Baseball directly by May 1.

Don't forget that you can use your cookie dough to pay for camp. Come up and experience camp as a troop during a weekend camp or for your own adventure during a weekend camp with you and your parent.

Camp Nights- parents, volunteers and girls are invited to join us to meet camp staff, ask questions, and get more information about Camp Scherman. Camp Nights will be from 7:00-8:30 PM.  To register for a Camp Night and get directions, please email ejohnson@girlscoutsoc.org

2014 WEEKEND CAMPS

Weekend Camps will be offered now through the summer!  Sign up as a troop or as a parent-child pair.  Registration is now open for Weekend Camps through Dec 2014!  Click here for a complete listing and more information on all weekend camps.

Who wants to saddle up and take a trail ride at camp? We have now added a horse option to the program offerings for the summer weekend camps only (additional fee required). Register today - space is limited!

 

Weekend Camp Spotlights:

 

Create Your Weekend Camp - Upper Camp
July 11- 13, July 18-20, July 25-27

$104 per person 
Whether you are new to camp, or you are a weekend camp warrior, unplug from your busy life and recharge at Camp Scherman. Hang out on the lake or at the museum. You get to create your schedule of activities, be as busy or relaxed as you like. The perfect opportunity for girls of all ages to choose your own adventure and have a weekend to remember! 

 

Leader Daughter Weekend- August 1-3
$135 per person
Leave your troop in the city for one-one-one fun with your daughter in the beautiful outdoors. Enjoy a weekend with your favorite Girl Scout. We do the cooking and planning so you don't have to. Canoe on the lake, take aim in archery, take a dip in the pool and much more.

Camper Sampler - July 14-18
For girls entering grades 2-3 
What will your little camper do this summer? She could be in the crystal clear mountain air! Whether she is new to camp or comes every year, she can unplug from her busy life and recharge at Camp Scherman with a little bit of everything - canoeing, archery, swimming, arts and crafts and more. She'll choose her own adventure and have a summer to remember!
