Girl Scouts and Pat Nixon 102nd Birthday Celebration More than 800 Girl Scouts of all ages enjoyed a "Candyland" themed birthday celebration at the Nixon Library! Girl Scouts visited with Juliette Low, made "armpit fudge," walked the "green carpet" and climbed aboard the Presidential helicopter. Check out the photos!
$5K Cookie Buy Winner
Congrats to Girl Scout Brownie Troop 2899 from Fullerton for rallying the most online votes in the 104.3 MYfm $5K Cookie Buy! MYfm will purchase $5,000 in cookies from this hard working troop to donate to the USO. Way to go girls!

Proceeds Jump to 71 cents!
GSOC is excited to announce that Troop cookie sales have combined to reach over 2,625,000 packages meaning all troops will earn at least 71 cents per package! Snap was updated to reflect this new proceeds amount prior to Troop payments via ACH. Troops who achieved the Initial Order Bonus proceeds were updated to 72 cents per package sold. Congratulations Troops! Your cookie share orders have allowed us to reach our top proceeds goal!
Cookie Volunteer Survey
Troop Cookie Managers, SU Cookie Managers, Leaders and SU Team Members are all invited to evaluate this year's cookie program. Tell us about your experience as a Cookie Program volunteer by March 31, 2014. A girl survey will be emailed directly to girls next month. Focus group sessions will be scheduled soon, so watch your Weekly Updates for dates & times to share your feedback in person.

World Water Day - Mar 22
Brownie troops and their families are invited to join Crystal Cove Alliance as we investigate ways to conserve water on World Water Day! The event will help girls fulfill requirements for the Brownies' Wow! Wonders of Water Journey and Step 2 of the Household Elf badge.
Music Badge Workshop - Mar 29 
Looking for a fun way to earn your Musician Badge? Come to Cal State Fullerton to earn your badge and talk to college girls who are musicians about why they love music!
Brownie Bash - May 2-4 
Garden Grove Troop 321 invites Girl Scout Brownies troops to camp at O'Neill Park, learn skills, work on a badge, enjoy campfires, and just plain have fun! Register by April 1.
GAM - May 16-18 
Registration now OPEN-early registration due April 1st! This competitive boating, swimming and nautical event at Newport Dunes that is a long-standing Girl Scouts tradition. Whether you come to showcase your skills or to test the waters, fun is guaranteed!

Don't forget that you can use your cookie dough to pay for camp. Come up and experience camp as a troop during a weekend camp or for your own adventure during a weekend camp with you and your parent.
Staff Make Camp Safe and Memorable!
Did you know that the staff at Camp Scherman have a long history at camp? Many were campers themselves - and are now coming full circle as staff. We have staff that are in college studying to be teachers, therapists, biologists, veterinarians, engineers and theater producers!

Camp Nights- parents, volunteers and girls are invited to join us to meet camp staff, ask questions, and get more information about Camp Scherman. Camp Nights will be from 7:00-8:30 PM. To register for a Camp Night and get directions, please email ejohnson@girlscoutsoc.org

Create Your Weekend Camp Ranch House Cabins - July 11- 13, July 18-20, July 25-27, $135 per person
Upper Camp July 11- 13, July 18-20, July 25-27, Aug 1-3, $104 per person
Whether you are new to camp, or you are a weekend camp warriors unplug from your busy life and recharge at Camp Scherman. Hang out on the lake or at the museum. You get to create your schedule of activities, be as busy or relaxed as you like. This is your weekend- choose your own adventure and have a weekend to remember!
Leader Daughter Weekend- Aug 1-3
$135 per person Leave your troop in the city for one-one-one fun with your daughter in the beautiful outdoors. Enjoy a weekend with your favorite Girl Scout. We do the cooking and planning so you don't have to. Canoe on the lake, take aim in archery, take a dip in the pool and much more.
Family Camp- Aug 29- Sept 1
Upper Camp and 101 Ranch Camping Area Enjoy a unique and relaxing weekend camp experience with family and friends. Explore wide-open spaces and enjoy staff-planned nature and camp activities for all ages, including hiking, crafts, games, gardens, campfires, archery, and canoeing. Provide your own tent, RV or camper, or stay in one of our mountain cabins. Sign up for our weekend meal plan that includes seven meals, or bring a propane stove to prepare your own meals. No charge for children 4 and under!

Camper Sampler Offered every week from July 14-Aug 15! Make a wish on a shooting star as you gaze up at the night sky from your campsite that sits under a canopy of forest trees. Stargazing and folklore will fill your evenings as you experience the primitive area of Camp Sherman, sleeping outside under the stars. When the sun is out, have fun out and about experiencing camp the way you choose - swimming, arts and crafts, boating? It's up to you!
Counselor in Training 1 - July 14-25
For girls entering 11th grade Discover your leadership talents and learn how to share them with children at one of the largest Girl Scout camps in the nation! Find out what the job of a camp counselor at Camp Scherman is all about. Program planning and other interactive skills will be shared while you discover your own leadership style.
Counselor in Training 2 - July 28- Aug 15 For girls entering 12th grade Continue to develop your leadership style and discover the challenges and rewards of being a camp counselor. Time will be spent on camp program planning, problem solving and strengthening interpersonal skills. CIT 1 is a prerequisite for this program.
