Cookie Program

Get Girls Registered Now - Cookie Time Is Coming!

Troop Cookie Managers will be checking to ensure all girls who wish to participate in our cookie program are registered for the 2013 Girl Scout membership year.  To improve our data integrity, Snap (our Cookie program software) is uploaded weekly with girl registration from our Personify database.

  • Troops should encourage parents to renew online or submit all paper registrations to their Troop Leader ASAP.
  • Troop Leaders should submit any paper registrations to SU Registrars, who should submit to Council office right away.
  • Submit transfer request to [email protected] no later than Jan. 10.

Troops will not have access to make changes in Snap until after the cookie program begins on Jan. 27.  At that time they may input new girls who have recently joined their troop.

Troop Cookie Training

Register today for a Troop Cookie Manager Training happening through Dec.15, 2012 and check out the Cookie Blog daily for updates and helpful information.

  Camp Scherman

Winter is here and it's the perfect time to get away with your daughter to a  Mom and Me Weekend Camp at the Award Winning Camp Scherman!  Check out what this mom had to say:

"We had an AMAZING time at camp! The snow just added to the magic of it all. This was our first visit to Scherman and I was so impressed with the activities, the grounds and especially the staff.  Everyone was fun, energetic, flexible, accommodating and more!  I took video so we would remember the songs when we got home and my daughter has watched it MANY times since. Thank you for everything you did to make it an amazing weekend!"

Don't miss Mom & Me Winter Wonderland Camp on January 11 and Mom & Me Cooking Badge Weekend Camp on January 25!

Wilderness First Aid
January 12 and 13, 2013, 8:30-5:30pm, Irvine Headquarters

Level II First Aid is required when there is an event of more than 200 girls, a group goes backpacking, you hold your own resident camp, or you are beyond EMS help for more than 45 minutes.  This class can be credited toward the Ambassador First Aid badge.  It is a 16-hour course and passing the written exam is required for certification.

SWAPS

February 2, 2013, 9-11am, Irvine Headquarters

An introduction to the world of SWAPS (Special Whatchamacallit Affectionately Pinned Somewhere). SWAPS have been designed using at least one recycled component.  We will make at least one "Functional SWAP," - besides being a SWAP, this one has a specific purpose within Girl Scouting. Other examples of SWAPS that have been collected over the years will be on display.

We hope that you can join us for these exciting new classes!
