We Walked to Savannah and Back! And back, and back... Savannah

Thanks to everyone who participated in the "Walk to Savannah and Back" program Mar. 12- Oct. 31, 2012 in celebration of Girl Scouts' 100 year birthday with a side of fitness! Together we counted our steps and virtually walked from OC to Savannah, GA 15.5 times! That's 149,489,376 steps totaling 74,745 miles! This effort was made possible by 1,691 Girl Scout participants of all ages. Great job everyone! Even though this program is complete, we encourage you to keep walking and keep fit!  Participant patches are now available at the program centers where you picked up your pedometers. Contact lchard@girlscoutsoc.org with any questions.

Are you an OC Register Subscriber?
If so, you will soon
receive a gold envelope in the mail containing what looks like a check. You can endorse it to the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization of your choice, and mail it directly to the Register for that charity to receive donated ad space in the Register. We hope you'll think of Girl Scouts when making your selection and help us reach even more girls with Girl Scouts' life-changing programs!
