ANNOUNCEMENTS

Girl Scouts Contribute to Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts

GSUSA and many councils including Heart of the Hudson, Greater New York, Nassau County, Suffolk County, Northern New Jersey, Heart of New Jersey, Central & Southern New Jersey, and Jersey Shore were affected by Hurricane Sandy and have staff and volunteers still working to recover.  To help ensure that affected Girl Scout councils are getting the support that they need, GSUSA is lifting fundraising restrictions to enable girls to raise money for affected Girl Scout Councils only.  Orange County Girl Scouts can raise money and then donate to GSUSA's Hurricane Sandy Recovery Fund or affected GIrl Scout Councils from their own Troop Accounts. Girl Scout families may also choose to make a donation.  To give, go to donate.girlscouts.org/hurricanerecovery  where you will find links to the online giving sites for all eight councils, as well as the giving form for the Hurricane Sandy Recovery Fund.
