Pointmaker, XOS & 49ers

The Pointmaker video marker was recently featured in an article by Brandon Costa of Sports Video Insider, which discusses how the telestrator has come a long way "from its days as a nifty little television technology gimmick, becoming a critical weapon in every coaching staff's teaching arsenal." See how the Pointmaker is used by the San Francisco 49ers as integrated in XOS Digital Technology's turnkey coaching system.

Multi-Stream Graphic & Video Decoder

The DSx™ 264MW streaming video solution provides advanced decoding of multiple graphics, HD, and SD video streams. This multicast video streaming device is designed for displaying IP video streams on RGB Spectrum's MediaWall™ video display processors. The multicast video streaming solution may be used in standalone applications where lower latency is required than is possible with software codecs.

The DSx 264MW streaming video solution decodes two graphics or HD video streams, or up to 8 video SD streams simultaneously. This multicast video streaming device supports graphics up to 1920x1200 and video up to 1920x1080 resolution. Multiple video streaming units can be added to accommodate additional video streams. Video streams are decoded and output via DVI connection to the MediaWall video processor for display. The digital DVI channel ensures there is no quality loss.

Linx and MediaWall/SuperView Deal

Get an additional 15% off any Linx switcher when purchased with a MedaiWall or SuperView processor

Effective immediately through the end of the calendar year, any authorized AV reseller of RGB Spectrum products can receive 45% off of list for any single Linx switcher ordered with a MediaWall or SuperView processor.

Lots of rooms with a MediaWall use a matrix switcher in front to cost-effectively expand their input choices.  That switch should be a Linx.  Here is some serious incentive for the integrator to get out of their  "-tron" rut and experience the unique features of the Linx family.

MediaMatrix Installation at the Qatar National Convention Centre

Located minutes from Qatar's central business district in the heart of Education City, a global hub of ideas and innovation including elite universities, research and technology institutions, the new Qatar National Convention Centre is an unparalleled modern convention facility, boasting iconic design and cutting-edge facilities in a new and revolutionary green-technology venue.

This world-class space-the first of its kind built to the gold certification of U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED)-features a distributed audio and video system anchored by MediaMatrix® that connects QNCC's 431,000 square feet of exhibition hall, 52 meeting rooms and public spaces that span luxury lounges, hospitality suites, exhibition foyers, a 2,300-seat theater and three additional tiered auditoriums.

Such a varied-use complex required support for all manner of digital audio-everything from background music to broadcast-and every area needed central as well as local control capabilities.

"The MediaMatrix NIONs are the backbone of the system," said Ahmed Abdel Kadar, projects engineer with Techno Q, in an interview about the installation with Pro Audio Middle East. With 82 MediaMatrix NION® n3 processors and 91 CAB™ 4n units connected over CobraNet, the audio engineers at QNCC can send audio to any location on the network. More than 150 miles of fiber optic cabling connect the outlying systems to a central control room where the audio team can also monitor the condition and status of power amplifiers on the network.

"The very latest technology has been applied throughout this building and it was a very good design," Kader said. "And as far as the ability to route any system anywhere - they have the capability to do just about anything you would expect in the 21st Century."
