On 05/09 about 8:20 p.m. members of the Darien Police Department were sent to the 1900 block of 71st  Street for a Residential Burglary that occurred between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

 

At about 4:00 p.m. two male white subjects came to the front door and told the babysitter that the house needed a new roof.   The babysitter may have told the subjects that the homeowners were not home.  The two subjects left the property. The babysitter and child then left the residence. At 8:00 p.m. the homeowner came home to find the residence had been burglarized.

 

It looks as if the point of entry was a rear sliding door and jewelry was found missing.
