Residential Burglaries 2-16-16  
Community Alert-Residential Burglaries
 
February 17, 2016

Darien Police responded to two residential burglaries yesterday (2-16-16). Residents are requested to call "911" immediately if they see anything suspicious including people or vehicles.

  • 7100 Block of Clarendon Hill Rd. - occurred between 9:00am-10:30am, no one was home, a rear door was not locked, no signs of forced entry. Items taken include jewelry, cash and some electronic equipment.
  • 9000 Block of Kilkenny Dr. - occurred between 10:00am-11:00am, no one was home and the crime was not discovered for an hour or two after the resident returned home. Entry was made through a window the offenders broke, items taken were a large screen television, computers and miscellaneous electronics.
The police department encourages residents to talk with your neighbors and pass this information on to each other. Residents should secure/lock their doors and windows before leaving residences and leave lights on after dark.
